The Friars in Tallinn

We have had our own Dominican chapel and priory since 1996. At the present there are two friars in our community: Igor and Vladimir. We try to maintain the traditions of a Dominican community, even with our small numbers.

In Tallinn we occupied ourselves with such works as:

The Celebration of the Holy Mass, Liturgy of Hours, adoration and the participation with prayer meetings.

The assistance with Catholic parishes in Tallinn and Parnu including: Sunday's Holy Masses in Polish, Russian and Lithuanian, The Catechesis lections for young and children, the Confession and other pastoral works.

The Cooperation with the Catholic Estonian Gymnasium, where we organize the Catechization, the Ecumenical Word Liturgy for all pupils on the occasion of the main feasts of the state and the church.

The catechization for adults in Russian.

The Spiritual Trainings organized in the House of the Parish in the countryside.

The lectures in the frame of Familia Dominicana meetings.

The Assistance with replacement of other priests in cases of their illness or vacations.

The work up to adaptation of the liturgical texts and songs into Estonian and Russian.

The ecumenical meeting witch Taize prayer.
